The Minister of Development bid farewell to the two convoys of Gedaref and South Kordofan – Kosh News
The Minister of Social Development, Mr. Ahmed Adam Bakheet, and the Secretary-General of the Red Crescent Society, Dr. Afaf Ahmed Yahya, bid farewell yesterday to the Sudanese Red Crescent Society in Bahri, the aid convoy of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society in cooperation with the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society and the American aid and support from the Kuwaiti people heading to the states of Gedaref and South Kordofan.
Mr. Adam Bakhit confirmed, according to (SUNA), that the convoys are directed to families directly, and that the Supreme Executive Committee is in full coordination with the Red Crescent Society in order for people to benefit and the conditions of those affected by torrential rains and rains recover, and that the Committee will not leave a mandate unless aid and support reach it, and efforts may vary in the extent of damage that have occurred in the states, and in proportion to that, the state government and its local committee are handed over to the state, and the Red Crescent is responsible for delivering and distributing this aid to its people
Dr. Afaf Ahmed Yahya said that with these two convoys, the support of the Red Crescent Society has reached nine convoys for those affected by floods and rains, and that the Red Crescent is a real supplement in disaster and emergency areas to extend a helping hand through volunteers in every village in Sudan, and thanked the Red Crescent and International Red Cross Societies and the State of Kuwait for their great support.
She said that the presence of the head of the Executive Committee for Humanitarian and Health Emergencies indicates cooperation and coordination between the government and the Sudanese Red Crescent Society and the official effort.
