Sudan notifies the Eritrean government of its refusal to host a conference of eastern leaders

The Sudanese authorities informed the Eritrean government of its refusal to host a civil and political conference aimed at resolving the crisis in eastern Sudan, according to the East Agency. On Thursday, the Sudanese government prevented a civil delegation of eastern leaders from reaching Eritrea.

The civil and political delegation, according to Al-Sayha newspaper, aimed to participate in a forum sponsored by Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, to discuss issues of the East.
