Completed arrangements to rehabilitate Khartoum Airport with $200 million
The Director General of Sudan Airports Company Limited, Sir Al-Khatim Babiker Al-Tayeb, announced the completion of all plans and arrangements for the implementation of the development project for Khartoum International Airport in accordance with international standards, by modernizing the systems to raise the airport’s capabilities while enhancing safety and creating investment opportunities.
He said after signing a memorandum of understanding at Corinthia Hotel to develop the Khartoum International Airport project with Hyper Deal Financial Company supervising the project and in the presence of the Minister of Finance, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, that the airport development process will solve the problems of congestion in the terminals, slow procedures for passengers and manual work, noting that the cost of the project is $200 million.
Through the Minister of Finance, Dr. Jibril, according to Al-Saha newspaper, expressed his happiness with this joint cooperation to rehabilitate Khartoum International Airport with a sincere Sudanese effort. He called on everyone to cooperate to rehabilitate the airport and place it in the ranks of the world to provide the best services.
For his part, the Director of the General Administration of Khartoum International Airport, Saad Ahmed Mohamed, pointed to the importance of the dollar fund to develop the airport as one of the strategic projects in the country, stressing the cooperation of the airport administration with all parties to reach the goals of this vital project to its goals.
