Britain: We are horrified by the loss of life in the June 30 protests in Sudan
The British Embassy in Khartoum has called on the Sudanese authorities to conduct full and transparent investigations into all killings of protesters since 25 October.
She said in a statement yesterday, according to Al Jarida newspaper: “We are appalled by the loss of life in yesterday’s protests, and our deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones.”
She stressed that impunity and killing must stop, and appealed to all Sudanese stakeholders to listen to the aspirations expressed by protesters across Sudan for peace, justice and democracy and that no more lives should be lost.
