Al-Mirghani praises the efforts of Egypt and Saudi Arabia and their support for the success of the transitional phase
Sudanese leader Maulana Sayyid Muhammad Othman Al-Mirghani, head of the Sudanese Democratic Unionist Party, praised the efforts made by Egypt and Saudi Arabia for the success of the transitional phase in Sudan.
Al-Mirghani valued what was stated about Sudan in the joint final statement on the occasion of the visit of Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister to Cairo, and his meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, who affirmed the determination of Egypt and Saudi Arabia to continue their support for the success of the transitional period and their encouragement of dialogue between the Sudanese parties.
Al-Mirghani said, according to (SUNA), that this Egyptian-Saudi call comes at the right time, pointing out that it responds to the national demands calling for the participation of national political actors in taking policies and decisions related to Sudan’s plans and future aspirations.
Al-Mirghani stressed the depth of the historical and strategic relations between the three countries (Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt) and the importance of strengthening, developing and elevating them to the highest levels, in order to achieve common goals and interests.
On the other hand, Al-Mirghani expressed his regret over the AU’s suspension of its participation in the Sudanese peace negotiations through the tripartite mechanism, and called on him to continue his role with the rest of the partners to facilitate the procedures of the Sudanese National Dialogue aimed at drawing a roadmap for the future in order to achieve a real democratic transformation and create the atmosphere for elections.
