Arrangements to resume trade between Khartoum and Juba
Adviser to the President of the State of South Sudan, Tut Galwak, said that the presidential directives are clear to resume the work of river transport and the dry port to transfer the requirements of the State of South Sudan.
Qilwak and Major General Mohamed Ali Ahmed Sabira, head of the Military Intelligence Authority in Sudan, accompanied by the Technical Committee to Facilitate the Movement of Trade and Crossings between the States of Sudan and South Sudan, according to Al-Sihah Al-Friday newspaper, recorded a visit to the White Nile State. Dry Kosti, the delegation was also reassured about the work of the single window in the dry port, and listened to a detailed explanation of the river transport mechanisms of tractors and barges to know the extent of their readiness to transport goods, commodities and petroleum materials to the State of South Sudan.
Qilwak announced a phased plan to rehabilitate the railway line to link the two countries with river, land and rail transport for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries. Galwak appealed to the national capital of the two countries to start transporting their goods and commodities via river transport in Kosti, and praised the efforts of the White Nile government for its appreciated support to the operations of resuming trade movement. with South Sudan.
